Unknown Studio at ASLA 2022
Unknown Studio is honored to be participating in two compelling education sessions at this year’s American Society for Landscape Architects 2022 Conference in San Francisco.
Partner and Principal Nick Glase is leading a panel with fellow landscape architects Sara Zewde (Studio Zewde & Harvard GSD) and Meghen Quinn (Hargreaves Jones), entitled “From Public Works to Public Space – Potable Water Infrastructure Reimagined,” focused on urban drinking water reservoirs. The panelists will explore recent Federal mandates transforming open reservoirs in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Baltimore, and offer case studies in how landscape architects can lead their reinvention as places of cultural significance, community recreation, and living aquatic ecosystems.
Partner and Principal Claire Agre will join her collaborators Mary Margaret Jones of Hargreaves Jones and Jennifer Ng of Klopfer Martin Design Group in a panel entitled “What’s It All For? Finding Meaning and Defining Values through the Work.”
An open discussion between three women at different stages of their careers, the panel will explore how our values influence our designs, and in turn, our designs give purpose to our practices. Claire will share early influences on her approach to practice, formative partnerships and projects, and reflections on the early years as a founder and Principal at Unknown Studio.
