David finds endless inspiration in the interplay between the landscape and the culture of a place. Since Unknown Studio’s inception, David has energetically, enthusiastically guided the studio’s approach to design iteration, visualization, and technical exploration in the pursuit of design excellence. David approaches the landscapes with which he works with respect for their history and enthusiasm for their potential. David's design leadership on projects such as the Mount Desert Land & Garden Preserve, the Portland Museum of Art design competition, both of the Longwood Gardens Masterplans, and the Longwood Main Fountain Garden demonstrate his ability to deliver designs with a sense of excitement, respect, and cultural relevance.

From concept through construction, you can expect world-class design services from David. This work is informed by his life-long fascination with cultural landscapes and his international project experience.

David was raised in Illinois and he has since lived and worked in Philadelphia, NYC, Rotterdam, Boston, and Vancouver before calling Baltimore home.
