Awards at American Society of Landscape Architects annual conference in Philadelphia.

Unknown Studio’s work is recognized by two national design awards at the 2018 American Society of Landscape Architects annual conference in Philadelphia.

In her role as Senior Landscape Architect and Principal-in-Charge at West 8, Claire Agre joined Beyer Blinder Belle’s Richard Southwick onstage to receive the ASLA’s General Design Honor Award for Longwood Garden’s Main Fountain Garden. Agre and West 8 served as landscape architects within a multidisciplinary design team led by Beyer Blinder Belle and including Fluidity Design Consultants. This year’s design awards jury noted, “I think it’s brilliant to do something so contemporary…that’s where the creativity comes in.”

Dorothée Imbert, Chair of the Ohio State University’s Department of Landscape Architecture accepted the Professional Award of Excellence in Communications for Testing Grounds: 100 Years of Landscape Architecture at the Ohio State University. Nick Glase, 2014 OSU Lecturer along with Assistant Professor Sarah Cowles and Glimcher Distinguished Visiting Professor Michel Desvigne contributed to the volume’s “Teaching the Profession” Chapter, including highlights from the 2014 ASLA Honor Research Award winning project “Bigger Darby.”
